WCP (Wild Cherry Pepsi) was produced from our 2020 “Covid Calico” clutch, a clutch of eggs that hatched during the peak of the corona virus pandemic. Munich, our flagship calico male, paired with Lizzo, a mixed locality red neo female, created this amazing cherry-red, aberrant patterned, very unique neonate that has been a voracious eater since week #1. Named after my favorite soda, because of the red/brown coloration and the “fizzy” looking dorsal pattern, he has held onto a fair amount of black. Shedding sperm plugs multiple times, we feel confident that WCP is a male and will be an essential part of our calico project as continue marching forward.
